What Happened?
Feed costs have risen dramatically (Literally within the last week), and the impact is hitting Cotton Branch hard. Feeding more than 160 animals every single day has always been one of our largest expenses, but the current economy has pushed those costs even higher. What used to stretch farther now disappears faster, and we are having to raise emergency support just to keep up with the basic daily care our residents depend on. This larger bill was given to us last week, and we are scrambling!
This is not a flashy need, but it is one of the most important. Every meal matters. Every bag of feed matters. Every dollar helps us make sure the animals at Cotton Branch continue to have full bellies, steady care, and the security they deserve. Please help us cover this urgent increase in feed costs today.

We also need to be honest about something affecting nonprofit rescues and sanctuaries across the country right now. Since late May and especially since June 1st, Cotton Branch has seen a sharp drop in reach across Facebook and Instagram. We have more than 70,000 followers across those platforms, but many of our posts are now reaching only a small fraction of the people who chose to follow us. Nearly every nonprofit rescue and sanctuary we know is seeing the same thing.
That matters because fewer people seeing our posts means fewer people seeing urgent needs, emergency updates, medical cases, rescue stories, and daily care costs like this feed crisis. Donations often happen when someone sees a need and has the chance to respond in that moment. If Meta does not show the post, the need still exists, but the community may never know about it.
